Das Doktorandenseminar wird im Wintersemester 2015/2016 angeboten.

Registrierung für Doktoranden: bis zum 25.09.2015.

An den Terminen werden jeweils Main Project Talks gehalten, inkl. Diskussion. Die Sprecher des Tages sind jeweils Diskussionsleiter für die anderen Vorträge an dem Tag.
Zusätzlich findet am 11. und 12.02.2016 eine Poster-Session mit den Projektvorstellungen der neuen Projekte statt (ehemalige SP Talks).
Um einen Schein für die Teilnahme am Seminar zu bekommen ist die Teilnahme an mind. 7 Terminen / Semester Pflicht, d.h. neben der Teilnahme an oben genannten Terminen ist auch die Teilnahme am Biologischen Kolloquium Pflicht. Doktoranden müssen mindestens 3 Semester Teilnahme, ein Poster und einen MP-Talk nachweisen zur Promotion. Den Laufzettel zum Nachweis der Teilnahme bitte herunterladen.
Die Teilnahme am Seminar wird jeweils durch einen anwesenden Professor des Seminars bestätigt. Jeder Teilnehmer ist für seinen Laufzettel verantwortlich und muss den fertig ausgefüllten Zettel bei Maren Riemann (Botanik I) abgeben. Danach kann ein Schein ausgestellt werden.

Master und Doktoranden werden einander zugeteilt und nehmen dann bitte selbstständig Kontakt auf. Die Review-Artikel der Master werden bitte spätestens 4 Tage vor dem Seminar an die jeweiligen Doktoranden geschickt, welche das mit dem Betreuer beurteilen und das Urteil dem Master und dem Seminar-Leiter (Véronique Orian-Rousseau) mitteilen. Mit den Summaries  wird entsprechend verfahren. Das OK zu der Summary ist unbedingt dem Seminarleiter mitzuteilen.

Scheinbedingungen für Master:

  • Teilnahme am Seminar: 7x / Semester (Biokolloq oder Doktorandenseminar)
  • Schreiben eines Review-Artikels mit 3-4 Seiten, basierend auf Übersichtsartikeln, die vom Doktoranden/Sprecher zur Verfügung gestellt werden bis 4 Tage vor dem Seminar.
  • Mindestens 3 Fragen an den Doktoranden im Seminar.
  • Schreiben einer Summary (1 Seite, spätestens abzugeben bis 14 Tage nach dem Seminar).

Scheinbedingungen für Doktoranden:

  • Teilnahme am Seminar: 7x / Semester (Biokolloq oder Doktorandenseminar); muss im Laufe der Promotion über 3 Semester vorliegen.
  • 1 Posterbeitrag zu Beginn der Promotion (bis spätestens Ende des 1. Jahres)
  • 1 MP-Talk zum Ende der Promotion; Dauer 20 min + Diskussion

a.       Senden eines Abstracts an den Seminarleiter; Deadline: 10.Oktober 2015

b.      Zusenden von Übersichtsartikeln an den jeweiligen Master-Studenten

c.       Korrektur des Review-Artikels des Masters, Urteil an Master und Seminarleiter

d.      Korrektur der Summary des Masters, Urteil an Master und Seminarleiter

e.      Diskussionsleitung im eigenen Seminar bei den anderen Vortragenden

The PhD seminar will take place in the winter term 2015/2016.

Dates of the seminar:

  •  Thursday/Friday, February 11th-12th, 2016 (Thursday Afternoon / Friday Morning)


For each date there will be Main Project talks and discussion. The speakers of the day are also the chair persons for the other talks.
Additionally, there’ll be a poster session in February (11th & 12th) where the new PhD projects will be presented (formerly, SP talks).
To receive a participation confirmation additionally for the whole semester one hast to attend at least 7 dates / semester (Biokollq or PhD seminar). PhD students have to prove at least 3 semester of attendance of the seminar, a poster, and a MP talk to be able to submit their thesis. There is a tracking card for download to prove the participation.
The attendance of the single seminar will be confirmed by one of the participating  professors. The student is responsible for the tracking card and has to hand over the completely filled tracking card to Maren Riemann (Botany I). After that a certificate can be given.

Master and PhD students will be matched and contact each other independently. The review article of the master students is to be send to the PhD students 4 days before the seminar latest. The PhD student and the supervisor will evaluate this and will give the feed-back to the master student and the seminar leader (Véronique Orian-Rousseau). The same procedure will take place with the summary of the PhD talk. The OK for the summary has to be send to the seminar leader.

Conditions for the certificate for master students:

  •  Participation in the seminar at least 7 times / semester (Biokolloq or PhD seminar)
  • Writing of a review article (3-4 pages), based on review articles send to the master by the PhD student; deadline: 4 days before the seminar
  •  Asking three questions to the PhD student during the discussion.
  • Writing of a summary (1 page; deadline: 14 days after the seminar).

 

Conditions for the certificate for PhD students:

  •  Participation in the seminar at least 7 times / semester (Biokolloq or PhD seminar); 3 certificates necessary  during the whole PhD time
  •  Poster when starting the PhD thesis (until the end of the first year) 
  • 1 MP-Talk at the end of the thesis; duration: 20 min + discussion
  •  Send an abstract to the seminar leader until October 10th, 2015

b.      Sending review articles to the corresponding master student

c.       Correction of the review article from the master student; evaluation sent to the master and the seminar leader

d.      Correction of the summary of the master, evaluation sent to the master and the seminar leader

e.      Chairperson during the own seminar for the other talks of the day
