M5208 - Zellbiologie
English summary
The course is focussed on the role of the cytoskeleton in the context of cell adhesion and migration. The lecture deals with the molecular components of the cytoskeleton and their organisation and dynamics, intracellular force generation and the use of bio-functionalized surfaces in research and regenerative medicine. The practical part covers mammalian tissue culture, transfection of mammalian cells and assays for adhesion and migration as well as the use of fluorescence techniques on a quantitative base.
